Hi,
We are putting together a book of short stories, artwork, donkey
treat recipes, poems and info on donkey rescues, and probably other
things will get thrown into the mix! If you would like to
contribute a story, artwork, poem or anything else, please email me
at tourjee@peoplepc.com.
This is gonna be a non-profit book, with
all the monies going to donkey charities. Sorry, you won't get paid
for your stories. But, it's for a good cause.
Anyway, if you want
to donate a story or art or something, send it to me with a
permission to use it in the book, and a few sentences about you, what
you do and how to contact you if you want people to be able to contact
you. This is going to take a few months, so no hurry. The deadline for
submitting stories is July 1st. We are wanting all kinds of stories,
funny, sad, happy, just to help the public understand why we love
these magnificent critters.
We would also like to put together a section in the book on donkey rescues
and sanctuaries. If you are involved in a sanctuary and would like info from
you sanctuary to appear in the
book, please send me the info that you would like added, contact info for
you, so the public will have it, and info about what you do.
We are doing this in the USA, just a group of people who love donkeys, and we want an
inspirational book so others can understand what a magnificent and
gentle/kind animal the donkey is. All of the profits will go to different
donkey rescues and charities. There is a group of us on the Yahoo
groups, Mammoth donkey list who will decide which rescues get money, and how
much, etc. If you want to learn more about the people on the Mammoth donkey list, you can
subscribe at mammothdonkeys-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
I can't promise we will be able to send funds to your particular rescue - we
may only make ten dollars!!! But, at least
you can add your info to the book and more people may see it. I will also
need a permission from you to use any info you send me.
