We finally found what was causing the website to log users out prematurely, and it is fixed now.
After many hours of research and trying many different things, we finally discovered that one of our Internet Service Provider's servers had it's clock set out of sync with their other servers in that group. That was causing our website to think that user's sessions had timed out when in reality they had not. We contacted their support people, and they have fixed the time on their servers to where they are all in sync now, and our website is working much better!
